【Operation Instructions】

Preparation before the insemination operation

Visual insemination gun (ensure the power is sufficient); The expansion head (for cattle type); The insemination needle; The disposable outer casing; Frozen fine tube (thawed); Wet cloth; Alcohol cotton; Some warm water.

Insemination operation

1. Wipe the visual insemination gun with alcohol cotton and wait until the alcohol completely evaporate. Ensure that the visual insemination gun has been disinfected and the camera is clear. Then the visual field expansion head is installed at the front of the probe.

2. Connect the power supply or the mobile power supply to heat the probe (Only for low temperature conditions).

3. Wash and disinfect the vulva of the object with warm water. Wipe it with a wet cloth after cleaning to ensure no residue remains.

4. Put the thawed frozen fine tube into the insemination needle and cover it with outer thimble for standby.

5. Put the disposable operating bag on the probe and fix it with rubber bands.

6. Switch on the visual insemination gun and confirm that the image is clear. Insert the visual insemination gun into the vagina of the object. Initially insert the 5-10 cm at an angle that is upward (depending on the breed of the cow) and then continue inserting about 30cm horizontally until the cervix can be clearly seen.

7. Maintain the visual insemination gun. Insert the insemination needle that has been installed with the frozen semen and observe on the screen to ensure that the spherical head has reached the position of the cervix. If the camera is not clear, press the blow button on the front of the handle to blow the mucus or impurities away until the camera captures a clear image.

8. After reaching the uterus, because the uterus of the cow is closed during the diestrus period, the diameter of estrus is about 1.5cm open. There are also irregular folds of 6-13cm long. So, there will be some resistance. When we gently rotate the insemination needle and simultaneously insert into the uterus, the spherical head is very slippery and will not scratch the cervix and uterus. When the insemination needle is inserted into the uterus, about 10cm, it reaches the bottom of the uterus. Slowly push the plunger until the semen is completely injected.

(Note: If the insemination needle is inserted too deep, the semen may only be released to the uterine horn on one side. It will cause uneven distribution of semen. If the uterine horn on the other side ovulates, it will directly affect the conception rate.)

9. After insemination, slowly take out the insemination needle to prevent the semen backflow. Then remove the visual insemination gun. Wipe it clean with a clean wet cloth and disinfect it with alcohol cotton. Finally, pack the insemination gun into a designated container and keep it in a safe place.
